My next Harlequin Blaze comes out in North America on September 17 and this one has to do with weddings. I had to do some research about wedding ceremonies and traditions but not all of it was used for The Bridesmaid’s Best Man.
One of the things I learned that surprised me was the first dance song at weddings. Did you know the most popular first dance song in North America is “At Last” by Etta James? I could have sworn it would have been “You’re Still the One” by Shania Twain. It seems I hear that most frequently.
I always enjoy watching the newlyweds take the first dance and I often wonder about the significance of the song they choose. Sometimes the lyrics are uplifting, other times the music is emotional, but the songs are almost always deeply romantic.
What’s your favorite first wedding dance song? Tell me in the comment section before July 30, midnight Pacific Time. One commenter will win a $10 USD Amazon e-mail gift card. Good luck!
**UPDATE: Congratulations to Alina D. Her name was chosen using random.org and she receives the Amazon.com gift card. Thanks to everyone for sharing their favorite first dance song!**
